The need
Large number of lives lost due to an unprecedented cyclone hitting coast of Gujarat State

How we helped
SEEDS carried out assessments on causes leading to large number of deaths. Our studies showed that poor building construction was the main cause for deaths among 400 salt pan workers in the Rann of Kutch. SEEDS team voluntarily supported other organizations in reaching relief material to affected families.
