The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has left a profound impact on lives and livelihoods, especially on vulnerable and invisible groups such as women, farmers, transgenders, sex-workers, low-skilled workers and migrant labour. To mitigate the devastating effects, at SEEDS, we provided help by augmenting critical supplies to hospitals, stepping up vaccination drives, establishing covid care centres and extending support services with the setup of a toll-free helpline, which aided affected communities, aiding medium and small businesses and facilitating supply of oxygen and other medical services through virtual platforms. We have responded and provided immediate relief and long-term rehabilitation support to more than 850,000 people during the pandemic in over 18 states. Our national vaccination adoption program, Kavach, enabled almost 1 million people from marginalised communities to get doses through awareness campaigns, vaccination camps and local information dissemination.
